2023 WWBA Workout Showcase (Fri)
Ayson McIntosh is a 2026 C/3B, OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Vero Beach, FL who attends John Carroll Catholic. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, side saddle start behind the plate, gains ground coming out of crouch well but can get long at times, quick exchange out of the glove, fuller arm action with strength on throws down to second base. Listed as a switch-hitter but only took reps from the right side in this look; slightly open stance with a high hand set at the plate, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Best contact when working on a linear path, occasionally gets downward through zone. Shows strength when on time and squared with line drive carry off of the barrel to the middle and pull side parts of field. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
