Justin Benjamin, Jr. is a 2023 OF/RHP, 2B, 3B, IF, UT with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Minneapolis, MN who attends Cretin Derham Hall. Lean proportionate build. In the outfield, he works hard through the ball with a glove that fields out front. He carries the momentum gained well into strong downhill throws to the bases. At the plate, he sets up with medium base, high back elbow ,and hands high. There's plenty of bat speed present that works downhill to impact and creates backspin contact through the gaps. The strength is the build shows at impact but culd benfit from better barrel accuracy. On the mound, the operation side steps to a belt high lift. The fluid arm stroke produces velocity up to 90 miles per hour from a high three-quarters slot. There’s present arm speed and it appears to make the fastball jump out of the hand. The curveball features 12-6 downer action and was executed well frequently. Slider is thrown hard with sharp horizontal action. Fastball really plays with quality ride through the glove. Very good for a still Uncommitted 2023. 5.15 40-yard. Named to the Top Prospect list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
