Carson Shaw is a 2024 C/RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Perry, GA who attends Perry High School. Smaller frame with a slender build. Ran an 8.69 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up low in his crouch, shows step and replace actions with quickness to his transfers in a mid-line funnel and will improve carry on throws as he adds arm strength from maturity. Also pitches, has a deliberately-paced delivery with simple mechanics working through a three-quarters slot; fastball plays true to velocity and shows developing feel for a big breaking ball. Right-handed hitter, sets up wide in the lower half with high hands and a high back elbow; works short to the ball on a level swing plane showing limited shift into impact and will improve control of the barrel and consistency of impact as he adds strength. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
