Jack Stokes is a 2023 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Manchester, CT who attends Manchester. Medium, square shouldered frame with long limbs and a lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.88 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, plays back on the ball, fields it out front and works into a longer arm action through the backside, shows accuracy on throws and has the ability to drop slot on throws with extension, young footwork away from the bag. Also pitched, turn step into delivery with a leg lift up to belt, works to a three-quarters release point with a short arm action at release. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, pitched to contact and worked around the zone, extended out front, mostly true in life with flashes through the zone; tends to slow on release of curveball, up to 60 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a slightly open stance. Longer swing path through the zone, best contact when working on a linear swing path, shift into contact well; works to all fields, some life off of the barrel when squared. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
