Matthew Plank is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Cropwell, AL who attends Ignite Christian Academy. Plank ran a 8.41 Sixty Yard Dash. Primary Right handed pitcher with a taller frame with some present strength throughout with room for more. Starting with a tight drop step and hip high leg lift he worked with a slower deliberate operation. The body moves linear to the plate with a low 3/4s slot and some deception throughout. The fastball showed some occasional late run through the zone as it peaked at 73mph. Mixing in a SL as his secondary with tightness and some horizontal break through the zone. Secondary First base moves well laterally with a quick first step while fielding the ball cleanly. Fielding the ball cleanly out in front with some quickness to the transfers and accurate throws across the diamond. Right handed hitter with an open narrow stance with a smaller leg lift trigger. The hands work in rhythm well with a linear path and a pull side approach.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
