Davaun Dowdy is a 2027 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends North Springs Charter. Medium frame with a very young lean build. Ran a 7.30 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, athletic mover and gets around the baseball well, slows momentum some at receiving but clean funnel and good direction, long arm stroke and developing arm strength. Also pitches, slower paced delivery, good extension and drives hard down the mound, short run to the fastball and showed some feel for a pair of secondaries in curveball and changeup. Right-handed hitter, limited load onto the back side, simple linear stroke working short to the ball, hands-oriented and simple with developing strength and bat speed, one hand finish and could get into more strength as he gets more separated and leverages.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
