Yahirdavi Ortiz is a 2022 SS/3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Coamo, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 6.83 second 60-yard dash time. Broad shoulders with good size and room to fill out. Primary shortstop who stays low to the ground and has a good arm recorded up to 87 mph. Explosiveness to movement at times and rounds the ball nicely on the backhand. Good transfer and release. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Gets the hands out well and has a compact overall swing. Flashes well-struck contact with some whip to his hands. Good barrel feel with burgeoning power. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
