Christopher Knauff is a 2009 LHP/OF/1B with a 6'2'', 145 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton HS. He has a narrow frame and is very slender. Knauff has a smooth delivery with good balance throughout and his arm works well coming through. His fastball was up to 77 mph with some left hander's running action. His best pitch was a 68 mph change up that he maintained nice arm speed on and showed nice feel for. He'll have to tighten up his upper 50's curveball or look to go with a slider in the future. Knauff's easy actions and smooth arm should mean more velocity as he gets stronger, as he has very little strength right now. He could be a late developer. Keep an eye on him for strength gains. Knauff is a good student.
