Santiago Alvarado Roldan is a 2023 SS/IF with a 6-2, 195 lb. frame from Guatemala, GU who attends American School Of Guatemala. Athletic high waisted build with good present strength, especially in his lower half. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Has very smooth and easy defensive actions in the middle infield on defense, has a quick and confident glove with a clean funner, plus lower half footwork and fundamentals, arm is loose and strong, chance he moves to third base at the next level but will likely be outstanding there. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a toe tap trigger and good separation into his swing, line drive swing plane with good bat speed, had a confident approach in the games and made solid contact. Also pitched, on line delivery with good lower half use, arm stroke is more compact and short than in the field. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, showed good shape to a mid-60's curveball and had a quick inning of strikes. Good student. Named to the Fall Gulf Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
