Jake Goodman is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Western Dubuque. Recorded a 6.83 60yd dash at the event. Tall slender frame with some wiry strength and athleticism in his build. The primary infielder took a polished round of infield, recording a top throw of 79 mph. He shows good range on the infield, making numerous plays up the middle and to his backhand. Softer glove with good footwork and a quick release. Looked natural from the shortstop position. As a secondary pitcher, on the mound Goodman pitched with good tempo in his delivery. Showed some feel of all three pitches. Higher 3/4 arm slot. Has some balance in his delivery, occasionally landing with a open front side leading to his arm lagging through his slot. Overall there is good project ability on the mound, as he continues to throw more innings. As a hitter, Goodman hits from the right side. Wider base in the box, with a short to no stride approach. Hands work with some quickness through the zone. Has some pull-side juice as well, showing good snap in the barrel. Excellent student. Named to the 2022 Midwest Prospect Showcase Top Prospect list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
