Quin Smith is a 2021 C/ with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Lee’S Summit, MO who attends Rockhurst. He ran a 7.13 second sixty. A primary catcher with a large physical frame. starts behind the plate with a side straddle stance, showed some quickness in the feet and transfer getting to a tall throwing position, arm strength is fair and creates carry from a high release point, popped a 1.95 second pop time. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and toe tap trigger, the barrel works steep into the zone with some feel for the barrel, finishes very high and will create more pop with e=better extension at the point of contact. Good student.
