Gavin Malcomson is a 2024 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Linfield Christian. Lean and slender young build. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a short and direct swing, good barrel control, hits to all fields with a high contact/high average approach, projects well as a hitter. 7.62 runner in the sixty. Has good athleticism in the outfield, comes through the ball well with good footwork and direction, quick release on his throws, arm works well with projectable arm strength. Also pitched, slow to fast mechanics with a short stride out front, will cut off his arm stroke out front at times due to his stride. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, mostly straight, also threw a short slider. Excellent student.
