Mason Wright is a 2023 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends University City. Big and strong physical build. 7.73 runner in the sixty. Good athletic actions at first base on defense, has soft hands out front with a quick transition to throwing, low arm slot, good footwork around the bag. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a short and compact line drive swing, stays inside the ball consistently, high contact approach, has the strength to open up his swing and hit from more power. Also pitched, has a compact 3/4's arm slot that hides the ball well. Threw strikes with an upper 60's fastball that had nice sinking actions and missed some bats. Breaking ball was a soft big breaking curveball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
