Nathan Aceves is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Huntington Beach. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, plenty of room to fill throughout moving forward. Right-handed pitcher, simple turn into delivery with a leg lift up to belt and turn at top of delivery, easy arm speed through the backside with a shorter arm stroke. Fastball topped out at 95 mph and maintained low-90s throughout outing, heater shows nice riding life at the top of the zone, comes out of hand cleanly and threw lots of strikes. Excellent traits to the slider up to 82 mph, comes out of a similar release. Combination of arm speed, present arsenal and long-term upside make Aceves a very interesting arm to follow moving forward. Very good student. Verbal commitment to UC Santa Barbara.
