Michael Brennan is a 2023 C/2B with a 5-5 115 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Loyola. Recorded a 8.81 second sixty-yard dash time. Smaller frame with a slender build and plenty of room to add strength as he matures. Primary catcher with a developing defensive skill set. Receives out in front from a lower, even based stance . Incorporates step and replace footwork to gain ground out of the crouch, while displaying a high mid-line transfer and uphill movements into the throwing motion. Recorded developing arm strength up to 61 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wide, slightly crouched stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small toe-tap trigger. Contact oriented swing with developing bat-to-ball skills and feel for the barrel. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to get to launch, while exhibiting an upward swing plane and contact to all fields. will continue to improve with additional strength and proper mechanical adjustments on both sides of the ball.
