Michael Jazylo is a 2024 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 151 lb. frame from Baldwin, NY who attends Baldwin. Medium, long limbed frame with a high waist and plenty of time to fill out. Recorded a 7.38 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary first baseman with sound defensive skill set and accuracy across the diamond. Displayed a clean funnel, quick turns and release to throw and recorded arm strength up to 74 mph during drills. Secondary left-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a short leg lift into balance, quick tempo and a short stride out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the low-70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 74 mph in this look from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Displayed developing command of the strike zone with some deception due to cross-body landing; mixed in a varying shaped breaking ball with gradual depth that will continue to improve with additional velocity. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout, where he showed a developing defensive skill set with anticipatory actions throughout the fielding process. Gathered quickly and transitioned into release with segmented movements. Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly closed stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Rotational swing mechanics with flatter swing path and some compact hand speed. Developing feel for the barrel with best impact to right centerfield due to length of present swing, will continue to improve with proper usage of his lower half and minor swing adjustments.
