2022 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Ashton Lassiter is a 2023 RHP/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX who attends Episcopal. Medium frame with some strength to the build. Ran a 7.56 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, arm works well, simple delivery and gets down mound with intent, will improve strikes as he repeats more. Up to 87 with the fastball, comes out of the hand well with some life to both sides. Showed good shape and overall action on the slider, late tilt and tunnels it well with spin above 2000 RPMs. Good mix of two pitches and projects well as the overall command cleans up. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
