Luke Villella is a 2025 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Oceanside, NY who attends Oceanside. Villella works out of a still very young frame with tons of time to continue to grow and develop. From the infield, he displayed a full arm action with clean hands and quick transitions. Vilella flashed range up the middle and successfully threw on the run. On the mound, he worked from a 3/4 arm slot and an extended chest high leg lift, working downhill well. Vilella pounded the zone for the most part and utilized a 12-6 looping curve to play off the heat. Offensively, he started from a slightly open stance with simple repeatable mechanics and a middle of the field approach. Incorporating more of the lower half will increase power potential. Ran a 7.82 60 yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
