2023 PG Underclass All-American Games
Diego Josué Cruz is a 2025 SS/2B, OF with a 5-8 146 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Remington Christian Academy. Shorter, lean frame with some strength to project on. Primary shortstop, moves around well with good lateral mobility, hands work well out front with a clean funnel, showed the ability to change arm slots on accurate throws across up to 80 mph. Smooth actions and gets rid of the ball quickly, made all the plays throughout the event. Left-handed hitter, wide and even base, toe tap trigger stride, has some loft to the path which allows him to lift well, stayed on the barrel throughout the round impacting to the middle of the field consistently. Loose and well connected left-handed swing, quick hands, and a bunch of twitch. Excellent student.
