Salvatore Cassano is a 2024 2B/RHP/IF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Matawan, NJ who attends Matawan Reg. High waisted, athletic looking frame with long levers and room to fill out. Recorded a 5.11 second forty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with developing defensive skill set. Showed some bounce in his step, plenty of lateral range to either side and a fairly clean funnel out in-front. Displayed the ability to make the play on the run and change arm angles when necessary. Recorded accurate throws up to 79 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high, tight hand set and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and uphill swing path with developing bat-to-ball skills. Produced mostly pullside impact with occasional line drives, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Fundamentally sound defensive skill set with tons of upside at the plate. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
