Lucas Durand is a 2023 2B/3B/SS with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Fremont, CA who attends Irvington. Medium athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a high hand load, takes a short and direct path to the ball, has fast hands and very good strength at contact, turns over the barrel well and makes hard pull side contact, consistent timing, next level hitting tools. 6.60 in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, has good footwork to the ball, soft hands out front, tends to pat his glove often, good arm strength for second base, has sound overall fundamentals to go with his athleticism. Good student. Named to the WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
