Cole Wathen is a 2022 2B/C, IF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Highlands Ranch. He has a medium frame with an athletic build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.78 seconds. Primary second baseman that showed good movements, especially up the middle. He has a solid feel for the glove and quick hands on the transfer. He throws with a medium arm action and showed consistent accuracy. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even stance that is open. He uses a small hanging leg lift for timing. He has a rotational swing that is uphill and fires his hips well. His swing is shorter, taking the barrel straight to the ball. He had his best success when he was on time and worked back up the middle of the field. Good student.
