Drew Tolson is a 2021 RHP/2B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. Thomas. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. Long and loose arm action coming to a 3/4's arm slot, low effort delivery he repeats well with good tempo and direction. Fastball worked up to 74 with some sinking and running life occasionally. Short slurve type breaking ball that he landed well, also threw a firm change up. Strike thrower who had success when he was mixing his pitches, competed well. 7.57 runner. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall and open stance, tends to stay on his back side at times, middle of the field approach, showed barrel to ball skills and made consistent contact. Will keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student.
