Mason Espinosa is a 2025 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.88 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has good lower half actions and quickness, gains ground throwing and has an idea on his footwork, still developing consistency in his receiving and transfers, long and loose arm action with some projection. Also played the middle infield and showed similar overall actions, especially with his lower half and footwork. Right handed hitter, hits from a wider base with a tight hand load, shifts well to his front side, has a short hands driven swing with an inside swing path, best contact to right center field. Took a turn on the mound, has a methodical delivery with a high leg lift start, works down the mound well, fluid arm stroke with some looseness from a low 3/4's slot. Threw strikes and challenged hitters with a fastball that topped out at 73 mph to go with a slow curveball. Will keep improving in proportion to how much stronger he can get. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
