Thomas Barrett is a 2022 OF/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Greenville, NC who attends D H Conley. Nice athletic build with good present strength and plenty of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a back tap trigger, aggressive swing with some lean and lift elements, develops present bat speed and can impact the ball, quick hands on the inside half and looks to pull the ball, still developing feel for the outside half, projects well as a hitter. 6.91 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder who shows nice arm strength and carry on his throws to go with good closing speed to the ball. Also plays first base with a high level of athleticism for that position. Outstanding student. Named to the Spring Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
