Chris Davis is a 2007 3B/C/P with a 5'5'', 160 lb. frame from Fremont CA, who attends Washington HS. He has a strong, compact body type and possesses some athleticism. Davis is a solid all-around ballplayer. He knows how to play the game and does an awful lot right on the field. Offensively he is a contact hitter who sprays line drives to all fields. He is short to the ball and has good bat control, with a relaxed set-up and good hands. Davis is a good two-hole type hitter. He showed some doubles too. He runs the bases well and is a sparkplug type player. Defensively Davis has the tools to be an above average 2nd baseman. His feet work well and he has good hands. His range is good, particularly to his left and he has a quick release. Davis is very steady in the field and plays with good energy. He looked to be the type of player that teams rally around and also has some leadership presence. He is a top level student and can play the game.
