Ramses Valdez is a 2021 OF/2B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Edgewater, NJ who attends Leonia. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength to frame, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.04 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes long strides moving towards the ball, fields it out front and circles the ball well, full arm action through the back, remains low on approach, short arm action on throws at release, gets uphill at times with release. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Barrel wrap at start of swing, works inside the ball with a short path through the zone, can generate additional extension out front at point of contact. Upper body dominant swing, opens front side early at times, works on a mostly linear path through the zone. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
