Nick Kapostasy is a 2021 C/1B,/3B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Turpin. Recorded a 7.57 second sixty-yard dash. Large frame with lower half strength and long limbs. Primary catcher with a deliberate actions behind the plate and some present arm strength. Developing defensive skill set with long arm action and segmented footwork, recording throws up to 77 mph in drills. Secondary infielder with longer strides into the fielding process, a deep funnel and accuracy across the diamond. Showed developing arm strength, recording throws up to 81 mph. Left-handed hitter with a spread stance, low hand starting position and hanging leg lift trigger. Intent based approach with lots of moving parts prior to launch, propensity to lose barrel accuracy due to head movement. Does show present strength with the potential for improvement with proper swing adjustments. Excellent Student.
