Luke Chaney is a 2024 C/SS with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Vancouver, WA who attends Union. Ran a 7.15 60 yard dash. Good run tool and is especially quick for a catcher. Impressive defender behind the plate. Posted a 1.92 pop time and has great catch and throw ability. Tall frame with a high set up and shows good flexibility behind the plate. At the plate, slightly open stance with an arm bar. Shows good hip rotation throughout the swing. Heavy barrel and had some nice juice in BP. Posted a high exit velocity of 85 MPH in BP. Excellent student in the classroom. Should be a solid player behind the plate that can hit. He's on the High Follow list for 2024.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
