Jake Acker is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Holtsville, NY who attends Sachem East. Acker showed athleticism and light feet from the catcher position out of a young build with room to grow and fill out. He displayed solid arm strength from a quick compact motion and worked downhill well. Posted a very good 1.93 pop time. At the plate, Acker started from a wide slightly open stance with good rotation in the lower half. He swung the bat with clear intent and flashed solid contact to the pull side throughout the round. Showcased speed with a 7.25 60 yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
