Omar Colmenares is a 2020 C/1B with a 5-10 205 lb. frame from Port Saint Lucie, FL who attends Port St. Lucie. Strong, compact frame. Recorded a 7.91 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the plate receiving strongly out front, replaces feet and gains ground to bag well, some length to transfer with a longer arm stroke, stays around the bag with throws. Right-handed hitter, sets up with a wide base, high hands and high back elbow, small leg kick trigger, some strength in the wrists, pull side approach, looks to turn it over, developing feel for the barrel with some carry when barreled.
