Ricky Collazo is a 2023 C/IF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Elmwood Park, IL who attends Immaculate Conception. Compact frame with a slender build and room to add. Ran an 8.20 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a low stance to start. Receives out in front with softer hands. Quick footwork throughout transfers and gains ground towards the bag. Longer arm action in the back with still developing arm strength to the bag. Lefthanded hitter with an even stance and high hand set. Short leg lift trigger for timing. Creates slight separation through a flat path. Works mostly to the pull side with rotational actions.
