Grant Browning is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Ralph, AL who attends Tuscaloosa Co. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 7.70 runner in the sixty. Has good athletic quickness behind the plate defensively, still developing consistency on his footwork and exchange/release throwing, has some young arm strength and carry on his throws, will keep improving defensively with more repetitions. Right handed hitter, has a short and compact swing from a high back elbow load and wide lower half base, limited lower half stride or shift into contact, has strong hands and creates some bat speed and jump when squared up, gap to gap approach, has more bat speed there if he can unlock his strong lower half. Excellent student.
