Lucas Kuenstle is a 2022 1B/RHP/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends Newberry. Medium broad shouldered build. Right handed hitter, hits from a crouched stance, loads his weight to his back side and tends to stay there, short hands driven swing with a downhill swing plane, has some strength in his hands when he is on time and squared up. 7.53 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has good hands and moves well to the ball, developing arm strength. Also pitched, full windup with a compact arm action, fastball topped out at 66 mph. Big slow curveball was his best pitch this outing, landed it for strikes well. Good student.
