Gavin Pierson is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Brownsburg, IN who attends Brownsburg. Medium frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.34 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, good direction downhill, lands online and extends well over front side, overtop slot, fastball worked 76-80 mph with good plane, showed curveball with 1/7 shape and solid depth, did a good job throwing strikes. Hits from open stance, strides long, compact hand path working inside, finds barrel consistently, middle-opposite field approach, solid barrel accuracy. Worked out in the outfield, comes in well, proper footwork and transition, clocked up to 78 mph on throws. Excellent student.
