Cord Gerdes is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from St Petersburg, FL who attends Osceola. Broad shouldered medium build. 7.35 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has solid fundamentals through the ball and into his throws, gets on top of his throws well and makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a low hand load, inward toe turn timer into his stride, hands driven inside swing path, mid field to opposite field high contact approach. Also pitched, has drop and drive mechanics with good direction down the mound, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with some sinking action, mixed in an occasional slider, threw strikes to the glove side and had a good inning. Excellent student.
