Chase Weaver is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Hamilton, TX who attends Hamilton. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, fluid and smooth delivery with balance and athleticism, whippy arm stroke to 3/4 slot, fastball worked 80-84 mph with good arm side life, great feel for curveball with sharp bite and good spin, pitched extremely well and projects well. Took defensive reps at first base, clean footwork with hands that work, also took outfield reps and showed good balance through fielding, clocked up to 83 mph from both spots. Hits from even and spread stance with high back elbow, hands set forward, rocks back into load, flat path with solid bat speed. Very good student, named to 2021 National Underclass South Top Prospect List.
