John Franco is a 2010 MIF with a 5'9'', 160 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day School. Medium athletic build, some strength. Very good defensive actions, moves through ball well, soft hands, accurate on line throws, good arm strength, footwork is polished and quick. Right handed hitter, closed approach, good bat speed, quick hands to the ball, relaxed/balanced at the plate, uses whole field, squares up well. Nice all around player, competes hard. Son of former ML closer John Franco. Good student.
