Easton Brunson is a 2027 1B/RHP/OF with a 5-11 161 lb. frame from Highlands, TX who attends Goose Creek Memorial. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, present strength on frame with additional room to grow. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, moves well around the bag with balance to footwork, makes the plays with glove out front, feet work around the bag, present arm strength on throws. Fields the ball to side in the outfield, quick release and can continue to maintain lower half momentum through release, shows carry on throws. Also pitched, leg lift to waist, athletic and fluid mover on the mound with a medium length arm stroke through the backside. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with short sinking life, nice present arm speed. Landed curveball for strikes up to 64 mph, showed 12-6 shape through the zone; slider more lateral in shape at 69 mph, showed confidence in both secondary pitches. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, subtle shift through lower half moving into contact. Incorporates physical strength well and can impact the ball to both gaps, will continue to unlock even more juice with additional lower half. Strong hands with quickness to them, stays short to the ball, juice off of the barrel comes easy and swing is repeatable, shows nice carry to the pull gap. Very good student. Named to the 2023 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.
