Ryan Maire is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny. Strong build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.92 seconds. Primary first baseman that looked comfortable moving around the bag. Smooth on the forehand play and his throws across the diamond topped out at 65 MPH. At the plate he hits out of a slightly open stance with a high hands setup. Has some loft in the bat path which is geared towards elevating balls with authority. On the mound he threw out of a 3/4 slot and ran his fastball up to 74 MPH. The heater showed some arm side run and he flashed solid command to the arm side. His curveball was 57 MPH and has deep 11/5 shape. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
