Alex Villanueva is a 2021 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 142 lb. frame from Stockbridge, GA who attends Eagle's Landing Christian Academy. Recorded a 7.06 in the 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder funnels the ball out front with a very controlled motion, a quick transfer, and a long arm action accurately throwing the ball to the bases at 75 mph. Left-handed hitter steps to the plate with a straight and spread stance, good balance, a fundamental set, high hands, and a high back elbow with a toe tap trigger. Villanueva pulls his hands in with a lofted swing working the ball middle to opposite field approach. Secondary left-handed pitcher moves with a full windup and a straight back as he steps into a controlled above the belt leg lift with good lateral direction to the plate and a low three-quarter arm slot commanding his fastball. Good student.
