Ricky Hernandez is a 2023 2B/SS with a 5-5 160 lb. frame from Cedar Hill, TX who attends Bishop Dunne Catholic. Compact frame with a slender build and room to add moving forward. Ran a 7.41 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary second baseman. Fields out in front with clean hands and into a funnel to the body. Deliberate actions into exchanges and into a lower slot at release. Still developing arm strength across while remaining accurate to the bag topping out at 65 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a with a wide and even stance. Utilizes a lift and replace style load. Upper half dominate swing on a level swing plane. Looks to create slight lift when out in front and work contact to the pull side of the field. Good student as well.
