2021 Summer Northeast Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Joseph Tagliavia is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Massapequa Park, NY who attends Farmingdale Senior. As a primary SS, Tagliavia worked from a medium frame and had lots of energy and bounce in his movements from the infield. He displayed clean backhands with some range as well as the ability to change slots on the run. On the bump, the righty worked from a high 3/4 slot with lots of tempo and attacked hitters aggressively in the zone. The FB consistently had heavy life and the curve flashed late bite down in the zone. Offensively, Tagliavia started from a narrow open stance with good feel for the barrel and consistent contact to all parts of the field. Ran a 7.58 60 yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
