Newton Kieffer is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Rincon, GA who attends Effingham County. Recorded a 7.55 in the 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher has a tall, lean frame and moves from a full windup with short sidestep into a belt high leg lift as he drops the back leg and rides it down the mound with good extension to the plate. He releases the ball out of a three-quarter arm slot with sinking action on his fastball and a bit of an arm side run topping 73 mph. Kieffer mixes in a tight breaking ball with great depth and 1/7 action out of the same arm slot. Also taking fly balls in the outfield showcasing good arm strength and accuracy to the bases at 74 mph. Left-handed hitter steps to the plate showcasing good barrel control and a quick swing pulling the hands in well with a short stride to contact. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
