Chase Taylor is a 2025 C/RHP, 1B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Jackson, GA who attends Piedmont Academy. Medium build with nice symmetry and future overall development potential. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.75 seconds. Primary position C a nice neutral set up but high in his legs at times. Gets his glove extended well through receiving but gets a little long with his mechanics. His transfer is deliberate leading into longish arm action but there is carry in accuracy as he registered a pop time in the 2.20 range. Right handed hitter with a balanced start and using a short toe tap to stride. There is some length in the swing but he creates leverage and good backspin leading to balls driven on line. Shows a refined middle of the field approach and has a good idea what he is doing with the stick. Secondary RHP going over the head with his windup delivery, using a simple and repeatable delivery with minimal leg lift and a fast overall pace to his operation on the mound. Gets significant extension with his glove side and gains good distance down the mound. Employs a short arm path, working directly to the top of his arm circle out of the glove reaching a peak velocity of 71 mph on the fastball and backing that up with a solid CB. Solid athlete for his age with two-way potential in his future.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
