Yahir Acevedo is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-9 154 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium height with a proportioned athletic frame that can hold bulk. Ran a 6.90 in the sixty yard dash. A primary outfielder, stays behind the ball working through with a smooth approach and a lot of confidence with the glove. Big throwing arm with carry and even more to come. A left-handed hitter, starts lightly open with the base and explodes with his back side. Pretty easy bat speed and leveraging to the pull side with consistency. Controls the barrel very well. A secondary pitcher, has a tight delivery with a quick shoulder and a high 3/4 release. Works both sides of he plate with the fastball and has feel for both the CB and CU. Very good 2-way potential.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
