Anthony Caruso is a 2027 1B/3B with a 5-10 178 lb. frame from Belleville, NJ who attends Depaul Catholic. Young athlete with a longer, lean build and a lot of time to develop overall from a physical standpoint. Primary position 1B working methodically to the ball and showing emerging glove action. Securing the ball well and showing decent feel around the bag for a younger player. Short arm path with accurate throws that reached 71 mph on feeds. Reps from the OF as well with similar actions but saw his throws reach 77 mph back to bags. RHH working from a wider base and slightly open stance. Lower hands set, pushing hands back to load. Hanging leg lift trigger for timing and showed very good compact hand speed. Middle of the field approach and showed some juice and feel for the barrel. Line drive oriented stroke. A lot to look forward to here.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
