Christian Wood is a 2023 3B/ with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Timnath, CO who attends Rocky Mountain. Long lanky build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.57 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Showed out low out front funnels with confident, clean glove actions in the infield. Displayed high strides with good footwork working to and through the ball in the infield. Flashed clean transfers into throws with developing arm strength and accurate carry to first base topping out at 70 miles per hour across the infield. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a toe tap trigger. Displayed repeatable mechanics with a line drive barrel plane creating consistent middle to opposite field line drives. Showed good barrel control throughout batting practice as well with consistently driven line drives and fly balls to the opposite field. Also pitched at the event. Stretch only using a small leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and falling off slightly to the first base side at finish. Flashed a long loose arm action going to a high three-quarter arm slot at release with good arm speed. Showed a fastball with late movement and developing control at 78 miles per hour complemented by a curveball with good depth at 62 miles per hour.
