2023 13U/14U Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Justin Kauffman is a 2027 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Manalapan, NJ who attends Ranney. Kauffman works from a medium athletic build with physical upside as a '27 prospect. Working exclusively from the OF during his event, he showcased a sound buildup with clean transitions and good separation created. He successfully kept throws low and around the bag with evident arm speed generated at release, topping out at 84 mph. Arm strength projects for more in the future. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with a high hand set and high back elbow, getting directly through the zone with compact bat speed to produce line drive impact gap to gap. He repeated the stroke well with backspin and carry generated on the baseball. Posted an exit velo of 86 mph. Ran a 7.02 sixty yard dash. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
