Tyler Gibbons is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Del Norte. Compact frame with a slender build and room to add. Ran a 7.30 second 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher working exclusively from the stretch. Belt high leg lift into drop and drive actions down the mound. Compact arm action in the back into a mid three-quarters release. Creates some occasional angle on the fastball with late run at times topping out at 77 MPH. Mixes pitches well and goes to a 1-to-7 curveball with depth and the ability to land for strikes. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Works to and through the baseball well maintaining momentum to the bag. Softer carry to the bag from a three-quarter slot at release topping out at 79 MPH. Lefthanded hitter with slightly crouched and even stance. Simple leg lift trigger for timing. Stays balanced throughout working a middle of the field, line drive barrel plane. Stays behind the baseball well.
